In terms of textures REX changes taxi ways, aprons, runways, water etc to quite realistic levels. REX does this properly and airports that before did not have weather are now updated.
It is really great for managing your weather in FSX as the built in real time weather is not great. I managed to download it in 3 attempts, but it needs a download manager to keep track of it.REX is what I call an “environmental” package it enhances your weather and textures.
